My Theme Park Must Haves

Written by

As much as I enjoy going to the Universal Theme Parks and either Walt Disney World (or Disneyland), we all know everything adds up and makes the trip expensive especially if you’re traveling with young ones! Here’s what I would bring with me any time I would spend an entire day at any of their Theme Parks.

Hand Sanitizer

With the Theme Parks being a vacation destination for many people, there’s sure to be lots of germs everywhere! From food locations, attractions, and merchandise, keeping hand sanitizer in your day bag will keep you without worrying about spreading any unnecessary germs even further. Amazon has a great selection of hand sanitizer, whether you want to bring a larger bottle with you or have one to attach to your bag.

Headwear

Between Florida being the sunshine state and the golden state of California, sometimes there’s a need for a hat as well, which is why this hat is my go-to option for spending all day out in the sun.

Of course, Mouse ears are always a great choice for the Disney Parks; when there are so many options for these days, there’s always something for everyone. The headbands can get quite expensive if you purchase them in the Parks, Amazon has some great in-expensive items listed here.

Portable Charger

With these vacations, what’s not to love about capturing your moments? But for those of us who use our mobile phones regularly between the Theme Park Apps, texting or calling, taking photos, these ingenious devices can run out of juice from time to time. There’s always the advantage of being able to take a break somewhere to charge the devices as well. Despite your preference of iPhone or Android (no judgement here), we love using these for about everything these days. Besides helping to keep us organized, who doesn’t hate everything getting all tangled up???

Refuseable Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is important, and nobody wants to ruin their vacation because they passed out from the heat. Even though water stations are frequent, and most Quick Service Restaurants offer cups water, I still like to load up and make sure I’ve got some H2O available when I need it. I will admit, I’m not always a fan of the sulfuric taste coming from the Florida water fountains, that’s why I opt for a filtered refillable water bottle.

Snacks

Even though there are food and beverage locations throughout the Theme Parks, the merchandise locations offer it’s fair share of snacks; from peanuts and chips, to satisfying your sweet tooth. We usually wind up bringing small, protein-packed items with us to help keep our energy going throughout the day. Anywhere from granola bars, to nuts and even making our own trail mix, there’s a variety of options. That’s why I love having these Stashers on hand, allowing us to have something reusable (rather than keep throwing away things!

Sunblock

Not only is skincare so important these days, who actually enjoys getting burned??? Even on cloudy days, sun is still sneaking its way through those clouds. Why not purchase your own sunscreen ahead of time, saving you time and money from purchasing it in the parks (and keep everyone from getting burned).

Sunglasses

I don’t know about you, but I’m not a fan of squinting all the time! Plus, eye protection is just as important as protecting our skin. As much as I love sunglasses, these are one of those items where they fit differently on everyone. Here are a few recommendations.
