Oh gosh, how the seasons impact us in more ways than one! Now that summer is in full swing here in Charleston, I’ve completely changed my make-up routine.

I’ve been gradually leaning more towards a “no make-up” look, and with the sun out, trying to make sure I have some SPF in my products for sun protection! I love Amazon, Sephora, and Ulta and for my products, Wal-Mart carries some affordable options as well. Here’s a general list:
The Face
I wear this on days when I don’t wear any foundation but still want glowy, dewy skin. They also work really well as a primer!
- L’Oreal Paris Lumi Glotion Highlighter #903, great option for a primer/base
- CeraVe Hydrating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30 with Sheer Tint, Tinted Mineral Sunscreen with Zinc Oxide & Titanium Dioxide, Blends Seamlessly For Healthy Glow, Medium, 1.7 Fluid Ounce, this is also great as a base with sunblock
- MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, N5, 0.52 Oz – I enjoy this over my “primer”; My T-zone always gets oily in the summer, and this gives me a more formal makeup look without too much effort.
- L’Oreal Paris Infallible Blur-fection Longwear Loose Setting Powder, Blurring Face Powder With Up to 24HRs of Wear, Translucent Light, 1 Kit – This is another great product to help set my makeup.; This is the perfect setting powder for your T-zone – the areas where you DON’T want to be glowy!
- Roe Wellness- SPF 50 Powder Sunscreen Mineral-Based, Non-Toxic Brush-on For Kids, Adults & Babies | For Scalp, Face & Body (Reef Safe) – This is great for both sunblock and powder, I usually apply later on when I feel the need to powder my nose. Plus, I don’t like the idea of getting burnt on my face or scalp.
Eyes + Lips
- Eve Perez – Avocado Waterproof Mascara | Lengthen, Nourish, Enhance, Strengthen | Long-Lasting – I use this as my base/primer mascara
- ILIA – Limitless Lash Mascara (After Midnight | Soft black) – this is my go-to mascara for when I want some length to my lashes
- Burt’s Bees 100% Natural Moisturizing Lip Balm – This is constantly in my purse or pocket for over a decade now!
